Bronze Class Sustainability Award 2017 from RobecoSAM

Nagoya, February 1, 2017 ―NGK SPARK PLUG CO., LTD. (Chairman, President and CEO: Shinichi Odo, Headquarters: Nagoya, hereafter NGK SPARK PLUG) is pleased to announce that it has received the Bronze Class Sustainability Award 2017 for the first time from RobecoSAM, a globally famous rating company in the field of Socially Responsible Investment (SRI)(1).

• About Sustainability Award 2017
  

The sustainability Award refers to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rating by RobecoSAM, inviting over 3,400 world’s largest companies each year to participate in the rating. RobecoSAM evaluates the sustainability of many companies from the perspective of economy, environment, and society; it selects outstanding companies and classifies them into Gold, Silver, and Bronze Classes. In 2017, 77 companies (including 3 Japanese companies) are selected as Gold Class companies; 82 (including 4 Japanese companies), Silver Class; and 105 (including 18 Japanese companies), Bronze Class.
